Whenever you are looking for a service, be it a celebrant, a hairdresser or florist for your wedding (or plumber, roofer or electrician for your build) it is always good practice to check out the reviews. That helps you know what others have said and what they liked or didn’t like. These reviews are available on Google and other social media sites.
Further to those sites whenever I officiate a ceremony I always send a ‘post ceremony info pack’. For a wedding this will include advice on how to change your name (if you want to) and useful websites that can assist with it. I also include a Feedback Questionnaire and I encourage my couples to provide any constructive feedback that they might have that will help be become a better celebrant, I’m always embracing learning and self improvement.
Here a few of the questions on the survey;
· Were your expectations of the celebrant met? Yes/no In what way ?
· Do you have any suggestions on how the celebrant could enhance their service?
· Did you feel that the celebrant conducted herself in a manner that was professional
And of course – Do you have any comments you would like to add? Along with questions ensuring that all the guests could hear the ceremony (checking on the effectiveness of the PA system) and my personal attire.
Despite my encouragement to provide all feedback, I only get the good (and I am considering setting up some sort of online techy anonymous feedback survey that will allow people to feel more assured to send the constructive tips’). Mind you I do indeed appreciate the lovely comments. Lovely comments for your to peruse here.
We appreciated your positive approach and patience with us as we were a bit delayed with some things and you gave us gentle reminders rather than made us stress any more than we had to!
Our wedding went exactly as we would have wanted. The atmosphere was relaxed and jovial, which made it more enjoyable and something we could really treasure.
